HR essentials - the "stuff"
You know what your office needs to be HR compliant and ready to roll, but you are just missing a few key pieces and where to find them. We will point you in the right direction!
Every business in California is required to have an up-to-date Employment Law poster. It is the most basic of the HR requirements which contains the employee rights that your employees MUST have access to.
We recommend finding yours through a major HR resources like CalChamber or SHRM.
You MUST also post the appropriate Wage Order for your business as well as being prepared with any Minimum Wage standards for your city.
Your Workers Compensation policy contains information that must be shared on this form as well.
If you have any Spanish speaking employees - all of these items MUST be obtained and posted as well.
Posting of all these elements must be in a location that is readily accessible and legible to all of your employees.
Not having an up-to-date Employment Law Poster puts your business at risk.
"Working with Sara was awesome. She is extremely knowledgeable and is always available to help. As someone very new to HR, I loved how well she was able to explain the concepts we were covering as well as how organized she was through the whole process. Would highly recommend Sara for any and all HR needs!"
